We seek the illumination of underrepresented spaces and the proposal of new spaces that are tailored to the specific local. Whether through documentation or design, we strive to bring attention to traditionally overlooked neighborhoods.
Using photography as our means of inquiry and investigation, we document urban conditions with no pretext or agenda—capturing the mundane and the spontaneous, the nuanced as well as the general. Our approach is centered around unveiling the unique qualities of a space and its relationship with its locality. Photos provide a visual reference of the operational spaces, ordering, and patterns of urban life. These visual databases are used as sources of inspiration and reflection.
